University Liquor

The Oklahoma City FBI confirmed to OU Daily Thursday it conducted a search on a Norman liquor store Wednesday.

University Liquor, located on Lindsey Street, was permanently closed after an authorized search was conducted Wednesday by the FBI.

The store’s owner, Kayvan Karya Rasolkhani, 49, was arrested on charges of possession of and accessing with intent to view child pornography following the search, according to reporting by the Oklahoman. The punishment for a child pornography charge is a penalty of up to 20 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.

An FBI affidavit obtained by the Oklahoman states Rasolkhani allegedly talked to an undercover FBI agent online posing as someone looking for individuals to engage in explicit acts with minors for three months. Rasolkhani allegedly shared an explicit video of an individual he claimed to be a 16-year-old girl performing sexual acts on him in November 2024 inside the store.

The undercover agent claimed to have a 9-year-old stepdaughter and an 11-year-old niece, who Rasolkhani allegedly showed interest in having sex with, according to the Oklahoman.

"Based on the nature of the chats between Rasolkhani and the (undercover agent), there is probable cause to believe Rasolkhani had sexual interest in the minor females the (undercover agent) was offering to make available," the affidavit reads.

A video posted on the Norman Community Page on Facebook Wednesday morning showed multiple unmarked law enforcement vehicles parked outside the store with officers surrounding the entrance. The business was later listed as permanently closed on its website.

A spokesperson for the Oklahoma City FBI told OU Daily Thursday the agency completed a search of the building Wednesday, but it could not provide any additional information.

“I can confirm that we were conducting a core authorized search for it at the location, but I'm not authorized to comment further,” the spokesperson said.

Norman Police Department Public Information Officer Sarah Schettler wrote in an email to OU Daily Thursday the investigation is not in NPD’s agency, and it did not have any further information on the raid.
