Jacy Deck won the election for the Norman City Council Ward 2 seat, defeating Stephanie Adams and Russell Rice Tuesday night.

As of 8 p.m., with 1,658 votes cast, Deck earned 52.53%, or 871 total votes, according to unofficial results from the Oklahoma State Election Board’s website. Adams earned 24%, or 398 total votes and Rice earned 23.46%, or 389 total votes.

The OU Daily reached out to Deck for comment but did not receive a response by the time of publication.

Deck’s priorities include addressing the city budget, supporting the development of a permanent homeless shelter and revitalizing Lindsey Street.

Deck will be sworn in on July 7.
