Land plan

Land plan of the development proposed by Bob Moore Farm North LLC.

The City of Norman will hold a pre-development meeting on Thursday, presenting a proposal from Bob Moore Farms North LLC for a 55.56 acre master planned community that would develop a large parcel in northwest Norman.

According to the application, the parcel in question is generally south of West Main Street, west of Ed Noble Parkway, north of West Lindsey Street and east of 36th Avenue SW.

The proposed development would blend commercial and residential spaces in one vicinity, rather than a variety of zones.

Bob Moore Farms North LLC, the applicant for the development, is a Norman horse breeding farm established in 1963 by the late Oklahoma City Cadillac dealer, Bob Moore.

To make these changes, the Norman 2025 Land Use Plan would need to be altered to reflect the new mix of commercial and residential uses. Currently, the land is split into zones for commercial use, planned unit development, medium-density apartments and parkland.

The land would also need to be rezoned as a Planned Unit Development or PUD, a type of community that includes a mix of different buildings and uses, such as homes, shops and parks in the same area.

Norman property owners within 350 feet of the pre-development application received a letter inviting them to the meeting.

The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Norman Development Center, at 225 N. Webster Ave.
