Chimy's on Campus Corner to close after fall semester

Local restaurant Chimy’s, located off Asp on Campus Corner, will be closing down after the coming fall semester.

Franchise owner Kyle Wright confirmed the closing in a phone call with The Daily.

Wright had no further comment on the closing or the reasoning behind it at this time.

Chimy’s is not the only restaurant leaving campus corner.

Local pizza diner Crooked Crust has closed down indefinitely and Café Plaid closed its doors in August of last year, and was replaced with the Meatball House.

Chimy’s opened in the spring of 2012 when it replaced La Luna, and Wright said in an article with the Norman Transcript that they aimed to become a staple of the OU community.

“We want OU to adopt us. We want to be a local hang-out,” Wright told the Norman Transcript.
