Campus Corner's TEA Café closed until July 8

TEA Café

TEA Café sits on Campus Corner and serves Asian cuisine.

TEA Café will be closed until July 8 because the family who owns it is on vacation, according to store manager Son Truong.

“We’re closed from July 1 until July 8. We’ll reopen on that day," he said.

The restaurant will close primarily due to personal reasons, Truong said. Since it is a family-owned business, the family closes the store when it decides to take breaks, he said.

“The last time [they closed during the summer], it was just for a month or so. I think it was more for personal reasons. It is a family-owned business so they like to take breaks here and there and go on vacation," he said.

Truong said TEA Café is usually closed for the summer due to the lack of business. However, now that the restaurant has attracted many customers, Truong said that the owners decided to have the store stay open for as long as possible.

“In the past, we’ve usually closed for the summer and that’s just because business is a lot slower, but now that TEA Café is a lot more popular, they try to stay open as long as they can. It’s personal reasons really the boss has to take care of right now," he said.
