OU’s annual Homecoming Parade, hosted by Campus Activities Council, has been canceled because of expected weather Friday night.

The parade, originally scheduled for 8 to 9:30 p.m. Friday along Boyd Street is one of the week’s most popular homecoming traditions, featuring student organizations, campus spirit groups and more.

Although the parade is canceled, students and members of the community can view the floats from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday on Brooks Mall, north of Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. The display will coincide with the Soval Series’ Dan + Shay concert at 7 p.m. Thursday.

In place of the parade, the CAC Rah! Rally will begin earlier than planned. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and the rally will start at 8:30 p.m. Friday at McCasland Field House. Groups and organizations will compete with choreographed routines, along with performances from dance teams from OU and surrounding areas and the Pride of Oklahoma and Spirit squads. Tickets are $12.25 and available online.
