KDSAP is a student-run organization that aims to provide opportunities for community outreach to raise public awareness and promote early detection of chronic kidney disease (CKD). KDSAP is designed to partner with physician volunteers and community members by providing kidney screenings and health education, free of charge, to underserved populations. We aim to educate patients on the importance of early detection for kidney disease and provide them with guidance if they have it or are at risk for it.
As a part of our program, we offer FREE kidney health screenings to the public. You do not need to bring anything with you! Everything will be provided. During the screening, patients will transition through several “stations,” which are:
1) Blood Pressure
2) Urinalysis (10SG and MAC)
3) Blood Glucose
4) BMI/WHR
5) MD Consultation
