The Union Programming Board will host Comedy Fight Night 7 p.m. this Friday in Meacham Auditorium. Student comedians will compete for the title of funniest student on campus.
Comedy Fight Night has, historically, always had a professional comedian. However, Ozzie Willis, UPB comedy series director, has implemented change to make the 2017 Comedy Fight Night student-focused.
“After much deliberation, this year we decided that not only would it be beneficial to us, but it would bring about an opportunity for student comedians to host their first ever comedy show,” Willis said.
Students will vote on the winner at the event. Last year's winner, Saadman Shan, will host the event.
Seven acts will perform in six to 10-minute sets followed by a 20 to 30-minute act by Shan.
