The Crimson Combine will include fan engagement activities including autograph and photo sessions. Recently-hired offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle and general manager Jim Nagy will address fans at the combine.
"This is a brand-new spring football tradition for our fans," said OU Vice President and Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione. "Crimson Combine will spotlight our players while also giving our fans the ability to get closer to the action and have the chance to engage directly with our team and coaching staff. We're planning some unique activities that will highlight our players and provide high entertainment value for everyone in attendance."
Oklahoma joins Texas, Alabama, Ohio State and more as programs to cancel or amend its spring game. Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule said his reasoning for canceling the Cornhuskers' spring game was due to other schools offering scholarships to their players after witnessing their performance in the team's spring game.
Other schools such as Clemson, where OU head coach Brent Venables spent nine years as a defensive coordinator, have been adamant about continuing to play their spring game.
OU's Crimson Combine will take place on April 12 at 1 p.m.
