Green played in 11 of the Sooners' 12 games this season and started seven. Green earned the starting left guard role for the latter half of the season after an impressive performance against Texas.
The 6-foot-5, 316-pound lineman was a consensus four-star recruit and top 100 prospect in the class of 2023 out of Lee's Summit North High School in Missouri. Green originally chose the Sooners over offers from LSU, Missouri, Nebraska and more.
Green is the fifth starting OU offensive lineman who will not return next season along with redshirt seniors McKade Mettauer and Walter Rouse, who are out of eligibility, and redshirt junior Tyler Guyton and senior Andrew Raym, both of whom declared for the NFL Draft.
The Sooners also lost redshirt sophomore Savion Byrd to the transfer portal, but acquired former Michigan State offensive lineman Spencer Brown.
