Former OU wide receiver Drake Stoops has signed with the Dallas Renegades in the United Football League and is set to join training camp next month.
Stoops caught 164 passes for 1,876 yards and 17 touchdowns during his time as a Sooner. Stoops started in 31 of 62 collegiate games. He also earned academic all-Big 12 honors six times and was the team captain in 2022-23.
After his time at OU, Stoops went undrafted in the 2024 NFL draft before being on the Los Angeles Rams’ practice squad. He never started and was suspended for two games in March 2025 for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substance policy.
Stoops’ move comes about a month after his father, Bob, stepped down from his head coaching position with the Renegades.
