OU football checked in at No. 10 in the preseason AP Poll Monday.

This comes after OU was ranked No. 9 in the preseason coaches' poll, and media picked OU to finish No. 7 in the Southeastern Conference.

The Sooners are No. 5 among Southeastern Conference programs in the poll. The SEC teams included are as follows:

• No. 3 Georgia

• No. 5 Texas

• No. 8 Texas A&M

• No. 9 Mississippi

• No. 10 OU

• No. 11 LSU

• No. 13 Alabama

• No. 20 Tennessee

• No. 25 Missouri

OU will face six teams ranked on the preseason poll, including five SEC programs and No. 16 Michigan. 

The Sooners finished the 2025 season at No. 13 in the AP Poll after a first-round College Football Playoff loss to Alabama. They entered the postseason No. 8.
