Like he's done all year, freshman guard Trae Young ended his season in historic fashion. 

According to ESPN Stats and Info, Young is the first freshman to record at least 25 points, five assists and five rebounds in the NCAA Tournament since Chris Paul did so in 2004. The guard contributed 28 points, seven assists and five rebounds in the Sooners' 83-78 loss to Rhode Island. 

He also will be the first player in Division I history to lead the nation in both scoring (27.4) and assists (8.8) since 1983, when assists were made an official statistic. 

With the season over, Young will now have to decide whether he returns for his sophomore season or enters the NBA Draft.
