MLB Draft 2018: Chicago White Sox draft Oklahoma's Lane Ramsey

Oklahoma junior-right hander Lane Ramsey was selected by the Chicago White Sox with the 678th pick (23rd round) in the 2018 MLB First-Year Player Draft.

Ramsey, a native of Oklahoma City, transferred to Oklahoma after a stint at Newman University in Kansas. He saw limited action in his first season in Norman a year ago with eight total innings pitched in five appearances, allowing eight earned runs on 11 hits and five walks. 

This season, Ramsey was used as a spot-starter and a reliever. He recorded a 6.16 ERA in 12 appearances and three starts. The junior threw 19 innings, allowing 13 earned runs on 22 hits and 13 walks.
