OU President Joseph Harroz Jr. announced in a mass email Monday the university will expand its Division of Enrollment Management to encompass OU Health Campus’ Office of Recruitment and Admissions.

In the email, Harroz wrote the purpose of the expansion was to support significant enrollment growth at OU’s Norman campus. OU’s class of 2029 marked the largest first-year class in state history with 6,251 students, breaking the university’s enrollment record for the fifth-consecutive year.

“Together, these changes will improve alignment, consistency, and collaboration while honoring the distinct needs of each program and student population we serve,” Harroz wrote.

According to the email, the move would consolidate OU Health Campus recruitment officers into OU's Division of Enrollment Management.

The changes will take effect May 1, Harroz wrote, pending final approval by the OU Board of Regents.

The email states Jeff Blahnik, Division of Enrollment Management vice president and chief enrollment officer, will expand his role to oversee enrollment across all campuses, pending regents’ approval.

Kate Stanton, associate vice president for student affairs and interim associate vice president for recruitment and admissions at OU Health Campus, will continue working in the Division of Student Affairs for the OU-Tulsa and OU Health campuses, according to the email.

The email states OU will implement Slate, a data management service created by Technolutions, at all three campuses to create a unified admissions system.

According to the email, the following leadership updates will be included in the restructuring:

• Craig Hayes, director of admissions operations on OU’s Norman campus and project manager for Slate implementation on the OU Health Campus, will become the executive director of admissions technology and operations. Hayes will lead Slate strategy and operations across all campuses.

• Danielle Dunn, Division of Enrollment Management assistant vice president and director of marketing and communications, will become associate vice president and director of enrollment management communications and marketing.

• Megan Hagar Garcia, associate director of admissions operations for the Office of Admissions and Recruitment, will become the executive director of OU Health Campus admissions. She will continue to lead the OU-Tulsa Office of Admissions and Recruitment.

• Katie McIntyre will serve as university registrar for the OU Health and Norman campuses. Shanna Pope, the current OU Health Campus registrar, will be named as an associate university registrar, reporting to McIntyre.

• Financial aid at the OU Health Campus will transition from the Department of Financial Services to the Division of Enrollment Management.

“Throughout these changes, the Division of Enrollment Management will continue to be guided by its values of integrity, care, intentionality, and innovation as it works in partnership with academic units and campus leaders to serve students across all OU campuses,” the email states.
