Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt appoints Eric Stevenson to OU Board of Regents

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt appointed Eric Stevenson, an OU alumni and business executive, to fill one of the two vacancies on the OU Board of Regents.

Stevenson has served as a senior vice president at Nationwide Financial for the last 12 years, according to his LinkedIn page. Stevenson also previously worked at Northwestern University. 

In 1985, Stevenson graduated from OU with a bachelor's degree in business administration, and serves on the Price College of Business Finance Department Advisory Board, according to his LinkedIn profile. 

Stevenson's appointment comes after the retirement of former regent Clay Bennett and the death of former regent Bill Burgess. Before appointing Stevenson, Stitt previously said he'd like to see more diversity on the board. 

Stitt will still have one more vacancy to fill on the board in the near future.
