NPD concludes investigation on death of former state senator, former OU administrator Jonathan Nichols

The Norman Police Department has concluded its investigation into the death of former Oklahoma state senator and former OU administrator Jonathan Nichols.

According to a press release issued Thursday, NPD investigators “determined there to be no foul play related to the death of Nichols.” 

The investigation concluded after Nichols, 53, was found dead inside his Norman home June 5. According to the release, officers found Nichols "deceased ... from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
