“We have loved and immensely appreciated the support over the years,” the post read. “It has been our highest honor to serve delicious brunch to our communities and we have had hands-down the best staff.”
The restaurant invited customers to share one final meal over the long weekend.
“Thank you for sharing your special moments at our tables over breakfast and a cup of coffee,” the post read. “We have truly treasured your time spent in our little spaces over the years.”
Pastors Ashley and Jason Kennedy first opened Syrup in 2012 with the intention of opening a restaurant that would support charitable projects in South Africa, where the Kennedys spent most of the year as missionaries.
Syrup did not clarify why it was closing its doors but invited customers in its post to reach out if they knew anyone who was interested in purchasing the shop.
