Beanstalk Coffee and Sno announced last Friday that it will open its fourth location this fall on Campus Corner.
The local business announced its new location at 582 Buchanan Ave. in a Facebook post Friday. The cafe will be situated next to The Tower Energy and Nutrition and across the street from Hideaway Pizza, saying it would bring “Sooner Beanstalk Magic” to the area.
“Visit us on game days, family weekends, graduation, Rush and all the other amazing activities happening throughout the year,” the post reads.
Jennii Buendia, who opened Beanstalk with her husband Adrian, told OU Daily Monday the couple is regularly approached about expanding but decided on Campus Corner.
Buendia said Campus Corner was the right choice for Beanstalk’s newest shop, citing new student housing and its increased foot traffic. The shop will also utilize a new business model to be more accessible for students on their way to class.
“This location is going to be our smallest one, so we won't have as much seating as we do in our other locations,” Buendia said. “We're planning on having some more grab and go items just for students that are on the run.”
Mayor Stephen Tyler Holman also expressed his support for the business in a Facebook post Friday.
“It’s always exciting to see a locally owned business continue to grow, …” Holman wrote. “This new location will be perfect for students, families, alumni, and visitors on game days, family weekends, graduation, and all the special moments we celebrate throughout the year.”
The business has not announced an official opening date, but Buendia said the location should open before the end of the fall 2025 semester.
