OU is phasing out the doctor of pharmacy training program at OU's Tulsa campus and is consolidating it at OU's Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.
The OU College of Pharmacy began the doctor of pharmacy program at OU Tulsa in 2002 to meet regional demand. Since the demand has been met and enrollments have declined at both the Oklahoma City and Tulsa campuses, the program will be moved and consolidated into the Oklahoma City branch, College of Pharmacy dean JoLaine Draugalis said.
The doctor of pharmacy program will be modified and housed in a single location at the OU Health Sciences Center campus in Oklahoma City by fall 2017, Draugalis said.
After the spring of 2018, the college will maintain a presence in Tulsa through experiential fourth-year student rotations in clinical, hospital and retail pharmacy setting in Oklahoma, Draugalis said.
