Six former Oklahoma Sooners quarterbacks are set to start this week, with Browns rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel set to make his debut after replacing veteran quarterback Joe Flacco, per ESPN's Adam Schefter on X.

This marks the sixth former Sooners quarterback starting for their respective NFL team this week, making every quarterback to start in Norman from 2015 to 2023 an NFL starter.

These players include Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Baker Mayfield (2015 - 2017), Arizona Cardinals’ Kyler Murray (2018), Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Hurts (2019), New Orleans Saints’ Spencer Rattler (2020 - 2021), Chicago Bears’ Caleb Williams (2021), and now, Cleveland Browns’ Dillon Gabriel (2022 - 2023) is set to join the group. That makes nearly 19% of the current league's starters former Sooners, with no other school coming close. The next closest was four former Alabama quarterbacks starting weeks 2 and 3, after Mac Jones briefly stepped in for the injured 49ers starter, Brock Purdy.
