OU landed its first commitment from the 2026 class on Tuesday.

Four-star running back Jonathan Hatton Jr., a San Antonio, Texas, native chose the Sooners over Baylor, Nebraska, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt and others. At 5-foot-11, 174 pounds, Hatton Jr. is ranked the No. 5 running back and No. 51 overall player in the class, according to On3's Industry ranking.

Hatton Jr. joins 2024 four-star Taylor Tatum and three-star Xavier Robinson as Oklahoma running back commits. The Sooners don't have a running back committed in the 2025 class.
