Oklahoma baseball head coach Skip Johnson was named the Big 12 Coach of the Year, the conference announced Monday. 

In his seventh season, Johnson led the Sooners to a 23-7 conference record, the program’s first regular season Big 12 title and swept six conference opponents. 

Johnson is the first OU coach to win the award.
