No. 1 OU women’s gymnastics (13-0-1, 8-0 SEC) defeated No. 8 Arkansas (5-6-1, 2-4-1 SEC) 197.925-197.500 on Friday in Fayetteville.
In front of a Southeastern-Conference-record crowd of 15,512, the Sooners spoiled Arkansas’ senior night. Despite the Razorbacks posting their second-highest score of the season, OU outperformed them on vault, bars, and beam. With the victory, the Sooners finished SEC play undefeated at 8-0. The Sooners clinched the SEC regular season championship last week and are now two meets away from an undefeated regular season.
Consistent success
Once again, the Sooners’ consistency played a major role in their victory.
OU did not count a score lower than 9.825 during the meet, while Arkansas recorded three. The Sooners were helped by a high score of 9.975 on beam from freshman Ella Murphy, while sophomore Addison Fatta landed just behind, scoring 9.950. Junior Hannah Scheible tied her highest vault score of the season with a 9.950, leading OU on that event.
Addison Fatta, Mackenzie Estep lead OU all-around
Fatta and freshman Mackenzie Estep set the tone on the all-around in the meet.
Fatta won the all-around in the meet, scoring 39.625. She was followed closely by Estep, who scored a career high of 39.600.
While Fatta has been a regular competitor on the all-around for the Sooners, this was only Estep’s third time competing on all four events. Estep also set a career high on beam and bars and posted OU’s highest score on the latter event.

Caitlin Smith debut
Redshirt junior Caitlin Smith made her collegiate debut Friday against Arkansas, scoring 9.825 on bars.
Smith made exhibition appearances in 2025 but had not made a competitive appearance until Friday. She was added to the lineup with the absence of sophomore Lily Pederson, who missed the meet with an illness. Pederson typically competes on bars, beam and floor. Her absence also allowed junior Keira Wells to make her floor debut, scoring 9.850.
