OU is set to hire Jason Witten as its next tight end coach, according to On3's Pete Nakos.

Witten was a NFL tight end for 17 years — 16 as a Dallas Cowboy — and recorded 13,406 receiving yards throughout his career. He has served as the head coach of Liberty Christian High School in Argyle, Texas, for the past five years.

This comes after OU parted ways with former tight end coach Joe Jon Finley.
