OU (8-2, 4-2 SEC) is ranked No. 8 in the latest College Football Playoff standings after a 23-21 win over Alabama (8-2, 6-1).
The Sooners were No. 11, the first team out in last week's rankings due to the top five-highest conference champions earning automatic bids, before defeating the Crimson Tide at Bryant-Denny Stadium to move up. As currently stands, the Sooners would host Notre Dame (8-2) in the first round on Dec. 19-20.
