OU baseball’s 2026 season ended with a national championship on June 22, and the Sooners have kept busy in the offseason as they look to build on the success.
The transfer portal opened on June 1 and closed on June 30.
Here is a tracker of the team’s moves:
Alec Blair
Rising sophomore outfielder Alec Blair has committed to Texas A&M, he announced July 1.
Blair had 23 hits, 18 runs batted in and two home runs in 30 games (24 starts) during his freshman season as a Sooner. He had only one at-bat during the Sooners’ national title run, coming against The Citadel in the Atlanta Regional.
Blair originally committed to the Sooners as a dual-sport athlete, pledging to play basketball as well. The former four-star basketball recruit played only one game for OU men’s basketball before deciding to focus on baseball in Norman. He has not indicated if he will play basketball for the Aggies.
Drew Dickerson
Rising junior outfielder Drew Dickerson is headed to Florida, he announced July 1, after two years with OU.
He played in 35 games in 2026, making 22 starts mainly as the designated hitter. He recorded 25 hits and four home runs throughout the season. However, he only had three at-bats during OU’s title run.
Dickerson played in 33 games and started 21 games mostly at designated hitter, with five starts in right field in 2025. He had three home runs, seven hits and and seven runs batted in in the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional that season.
Cameron Johnson
The rising senior left-handed pitcher entered the transfer portal on June 29 after two years with the Sooners.
Johnson started 15 games on the mound in 2026, recording 72 strikeouts in 53.2 innings pitched in 2026. He made 10 appearances — seven starts — on the mound in 2025, finishing the season with 24 strikeouts through 21 innings pitched. He had a career-high eight strikeouts against Sam Houston that year.
Johnson faced trouble against Georgia Tech in regionals in the 2026 NCAA Tournament. He gave up a two-run home run, along with throwing only two strikes, in his first 12 pitches, and head coach Skip Johnson took him out early. He fell out of the pitching rotation for the rest of the postseason.
Johnson is a two-time national champion, though, having won a title during his freshman season at LSU before being a part of the Sooners’ 2026 team.
Despite a rough end to 2026 for Johnson individually, he could also choose to head to the 2026 MLB Draft even though he has put his name in the transfer portal. MLB.com ranks him as the No. 166 prospect in the draft.
Carson Brumbaugh
Rising sophomore shortstop Carson Brumbaugh committed to OU on June 17.
As a freshman at Arkansas this past season, he started 15 games, hitting .140 with 50 at-bats.
His brother, Cayden, is a utility player for the Sooners.
Vaughn Coleman
Rising sophomore outfielder Vaughn Coleman committed to OU on June 17.
Coleman started 47 of 51 games at Cal State Northridge in 2026. He was third on the team and eighth in the Big West with 10 homers.
Sawyer Farr
Rising junior infielder Sawyer Farr committed to OU on June 15.
Farr had 10 hits and scored 18 runs in 19 games for Texas A&M in 2026. He started 31 of 39 games in 2025, scoring 16 runs while driving in four runs.
Hayes Melville
Rising junior pitcher Hayes Melville committed to OU on June 14.
Melville made 25 relief appearances for UT-Arlington last season, striking out 28 and walking 18 over 37 innings.
Caylon Dygert
Rising senior pitcher Caylon Dygart committed to OU on June 14.
Dygart played in 25 games as a hitter and made 14 starts on the mound. He struck out 48 batters and walked just 16 with a team-best 3.79 earned run average in 90 1/3 innings.
Gerardo Prado
Rising senior outfielder Gerardo Prado is headed to Austin Peay, according to College Baseball Central’s Andrew Riedell on June 13.
He played in 11 games as a Sooner in 2026, recording a hit and batting in a run in a series against Santa Clara. He was at Amarillo College before OU, appearing in 55 games his sophomore season. He recorded 83 hits, 66 runs, 55 runs batted in and seven home runs that year. He set program records for hits and stolen bases.
Jay Abernathy
Rising junior outfielder Jay Abernathy committed to OU on June 11.
Abernathy played or started in 53 of the Volunteers' games last season. He finished the season batting .236 with three home runs, 16 runs batted in and 36 runs scored.
Sebastian Pisacreta
Rising junior catcher Sebastian Pisacreta has committed to OU, according to Sooner Illustrated’s Josh Callaway on June 11.
Pisacreta hit .271 with 14 home runs and 51 runs batted in in 2026. He appeared in 50 games, starting 45, last season.
His commitment comes as Deiten Lachance and Brendan Brock, OU catchers during the national title run, are expected to be selected in the 2026 MLB Draft.
Joey McMannis
Rising redshirt junior pitcher Joey McMannis announced on June 11 he will be leaving OU after one season in Norman.
He did not play for the Sooners in 2026. He made 10 starts in each of his two previous seasons at Maryland.
Cooper Smith
Redshirt junior infielder Cooper Smith announced on June 1 his intent to enter the transfer portal after one season in Norman.
He did not appear in a game this season for the Sooners. He played two years at Northern Oklahoma College previously.
