Former OU quarterbacks Caleb Williams and Spencer Rattler clashed as the ​​Chicago Bears (4-2) defeated the New Orleans Saints (1-6) 26-14 on Sunday.

Williams threw for 172 yards and zero touchdowns on 15 of 26 attempts for the Bears, while Rattler finished with 233 and two on 20-for-32 passing as the Saints’ quarterback. 

Williams took the OU starting spot from Rattler in 2021 after leading the Sooners to a 55-48 win over Texas as a freshman. He finished with 1,912 passing yards in 2021 before transferring to the University of Southern California for his final two college seasons. 

Before losing the starting spot in 2021, Rattler threw for 3,031 yards, totaled 28 touchdowns and led OU to a Cotton Bowl win against the Florida Gators as a redshirt freshman in 2020. He finished with 1,483 passing yards and 11 touchdowns in 2021 before transferring to South Carolina for his junior and senior seasons.

Next, the Bears face the Baltimore Ravens (1-5) at noon on Oct. 26 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on CBS. The Saints will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-1) and former OU quarterback Baker Mayfield at 3:05 p.m. Oct. 26 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Fox.
