CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 109 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, northern, northwest,
southeast, southern, southwest, and western Oklahoma and northern
Texas.

* WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 9 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Oklahoma and Northwestern will play a home-and-home series beginning in 2017-18, per FanRag Sports' Jon Rothstein.

The Wildcats and Sooners will play in Norman next season and in Evanston, Illinois for the 2018-19 season. 

Oklahoma finished with an 11-19 regular-season record after its 73-68 win against TCU on Saturday. The Sooners are projected to return 13 players from the current roster and will add five-star commit Trae Young for the 2016-17 season.

Northwestern sits at 21-10 this season with an opportunity to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. The Wildcats are projected to return four of their five starters next season. 

The meeting next season will be the first all-time between the Sooners and Wildcats.
