Oklahoma (11-19, 5-13 in Big 12) closed the regular season in victorious fashion with a 73-68 win against TCU (17-14, 6-12 in Big 12) on Senior Day.
The Sooners were able to secure the win from the free-throw line, nailing eight in the final four minutes of regulation. Oklahoma was able to overcome TCU's three-point attack as the Sooners held the Horned Frogs to just five points in the last 2:36.
Freshman guard Kameron McGusty finished with a team-high 22 points. McGusty ended his regular-season freshman campaign with 17 double-digit performances.Â
Freshman forward Kristian Doolittle picked up his fourth double-double of the season with a 17-point, 12-rebound performance. Junior forward Khadeem Lattin finished with seven points, 10 rebounds and five blocks, including an emphatic denial in the closing seconds of the game.
Seniors C.J. Cole, Daniel Harper and Jordan Woodard were honored with their loved ones at center court before the game. Each senior received framed commemorative jerseys and an ovation from the audience.Â
Oklahoma will now travel north to participate in the Big 12 Championship in Kansas City, Missouri. The tournament kicks off on Wednesday night.
