...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 9 PM
CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 109 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, northern, northwest,
southeast, southern, southwest, and western Oklahoma and northern
Texas.

* WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 9 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Just before the final horn, seniors C.J. Cole and Daniel Harper pulled off their crimson warm-ups and checked into the game at the Lloyd Noble Center for the final time. 

The senior duo only played the final two seconds of the Sooners' closely contested match against the Horned Frogs, but Cole and Harper received the opportunity to play through the buzzer in OU's 73-68 victory against TCU.

After the game, Kruger spoke highly of Cole and Harper and their contributions to the program.

"Daniel (Harper) and C.J. (Cole) have been hugely important to the program," Kruger said. "Everyday, they're out making their teammates better and doing what they can to challenge everyday in practice and contribute any way possible."

Prior to tip, Cole, Harper and senior guard Jordan Woodard were honored at midcourt for Senior Day. The three were given commemorative jerseys and an ovation by the home crowd. 

Cole will finish as a two-time First Team Academic All-Big 12 selection while Harper, named to the Second Team Academic All-Big 12 this season, will graduate in sports management.
