STILLWATER, Oklahoma — Freshman guard Trae Young broke the program record for the number of 3-point shots made by a freshman Saturday against Oklahoma State.
Young, now with 71 made threes, broke Tommy Mason-Griffin's record of 70 shots from deep in 2010.

The freshman broke the record in only 18 games played. He logged 10 shots against TCU last weekend for the program's second-most 3s in a single contest and broke the record for assists made by a freshman in the same game.
Current Sooner sophomore guard Kameron McGusty now resides on the list at No. 9 — he finished his rookie season with 38 successful shots from downtown.
