With Norman North’s football season closing after an impressive win against Edmond Santa Fe, the Timberwolves and the rest of Class 6A-I now turn their attention to the playoffs.
A 5-5 record puts Norman North near the middle of the pack in its division as the No. 9 seed after an up-and-down season that saw some important wins, like their 49-48 overtime win over No. 6 seed Edmond Memorial, but also losses like their 48-40 loss to No. 8 seed Yukon.
The Timberwolves will face the No. 5 seed Mustang Broncos, who finished the regular season 7-3. Mustang is coming off a win over Deer Creek, a team Norman North also defeated earlier this season.
Norman North will travel to Mustang for the first-round matchup on Friday at 7 p.m. The winner will advance to face 8-2 Broken Arrow next week.
