OU Delta Gamma sorority members have moved out of the sorority house as the building undergoes renovations.
Delta Gamma members living on the second and third floors moved out of the house prior to winter break for repairs and renovations, according to an email sent to the Daily from Mallory Borino, Delta Gamma director of marketing and communications.
“Members living on these floors will not move back in, allowing the renovation work to continue without interruption and ensuring the work is completed thoroughly and safely,” Borino wrote.
The Daily reached out to Borino for clarification on why renovations are being done to the house and when members can expect to move back in but has not received a response by the time of this article’s publication.
The Daily reached out to OU’s Delta Gamma chapter but did not immediately receive a response.
The Daily reached out to Kylie Frisby, associate director of Student Life and adviser for Greek life organizations, but did not immediately receive a response.
Cavins Construction Group has been observed working on the building throughout winter break. Cavins Group is an Oklahoma-based company specializing in both emergency disaster restoration and general construction services. Cavins Group’s discovery of mold at Norman Public Library Central led to the library’s closure in 2023.
