Lisa Standridge and Robert Keyes advanced Tuesday to an Aug. 27 runoff election to determine the Republican candidate for the State Senate District 15 seat.
According to unofficial results from the Oklahoma State Election Board as of 8:13 p.m. Tuesday with 91.43% of precincts reporting, of 7,717 total votes, 2,680 voters, or 34.73%, favored Standridge and 2,056 voters, or 26.64% favored Keyes.
Voting among other Republican candidates in the field stands as follows:
Kelly Lynn: 1,256 votes | 16.28%
Tommie Herell: 1,031 votes | 13.36%
Brandon Nofire: 355 votes | 4.60%
Kyle Chapman: 339 votes | 4.39%
The winner of the Aug. 27 Republican runoff will face Elizabeth Foreman, the only Democratic candidate seeking election for the seat, in the Nov. 5 general election.
The winner will succeed Rob Standridge, a Republican who’d held the seat since 2012 but could not run again due to term limits.
