Chair of OU's Board of Regents Leslie Rainbolt-Forbes said the "truth will rise to the top" in regards to an OU sexual harassment investigation focused on David Boren and said she is not rushing to judgement.
In a statement emailed to The Daily from Rainbolt-Forbes through university spokesperson Lauren Brookey, Rainbolt-Forbes said the university would do the right thing when the time comes.
"This is a sensitive situation that we are still seeking to fully understand," Rainbolt-Forbes wrote. "We are not rushing to any judgments, and are certain the truth will rise to the top. At that time, we will absolutely and aggressively do the right thing.”
The statement comes after The Oklahoman originally reported the university is currently investigating whether Boren sexually harassed male aides. Boren has, through his lawyer Bob Burke, denied any wrongdoing.
