Guests can make their own bath teas, decorate candles and more alongside a brunch at Re:Supply's 4th annual Galentine's Day event.

Re:Supply, which was nominated for Best of Norman's best Main Street shopping, was founded by Kacie Scherler. Scherler is pursuing a doctorate in environmental sustainability and geography at OU.

Re:Supply promotes zero waste and toxic free products. Being discontent with the lack of access to these products, Scherler was motivated to open her own business.

“At Re:Supply, we do the legwork,” Scherler said. “We make sure everything stocked in our store is safe for you and your home and your family and the planet at the same time.”

Re:Supply offers a large variety of products like household cleaning, body care, baking ingredients, herbs and spices. Every product is sustainability sourced and uses organic practices.

“It's not disconnected this concept of low waste and low toxin, or non toxic living," Scherler said. “Both of those things need to coexist because it's better for the planet, and it's better for our health.“

Scherler felt inspired by Leslie Knope from the show “Parks and Recreation” and wanted to celebrate Galentine's Day to teach about sustainable living and to enjoy being in the presence of friends.

“Everyone is so busy and stressed in January and it's hard to make time for yourself,” Scherler said. “So I just want Galentine's Day to be a space where you choose yourself and your friends.”

Also inspired by Leslie Knope, a waffle bar will be included with the catered brunch that is open and available to attendees. Other items like yogurt parfaits and egg frittatas will also be included.

“I’ve celebrated Galentine's with my gal pals for years and years," said Scherler. “It's one of my favorite holidays. And so I thought, ‘Why not create a space where it's just a huge party?’ So we host brunch.”

Many DIY stations will be available to create items like herbal room sprays, massage oils, bath teas and more. To be creative, guests are encouraged to decorate taper candles with dry florals and create vision boards.

“We say ‘Galentine's,’ but men are always welcome. Anyone's welcome,” Scherler said. “It's just a time to really get fancy, feel fancy, show yourself and your friends some love, so we try to pull out all the stops.”

Tickets to Re:Supply’s Galentine's Day are $88 and are available on their website. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Feb. 8 at their Norman location.
