OU paid two artists a total of $65,000 for two on-campus concerts this semester, spending less money on performers than previous semesters.

AJR and Ben Rector performed free concerts this fall. AJR, an indie pop band based in New York was paid $30,000 to perform in Parrington Oval. Ben Rector, a singer-songwriter from Tulsa, was paid $35,000 to perform in the McCasland Fieldhouse.

Last fall, OU paid $150,000 to bring in Flo Rida, Mike Posner, Tinashe, Jojo and Kent Jones to perform for the Campus Activities Council Homecoming Bash. In 2015, OU spent $40,000 to bring YG to the McCasland Field House and $80,000 to bring Jack White to the field house.
