The streak goes on.
With yet another impressive home victory, No. 1 Oklahoma improved its win streak to 110-straight on Saturday in an emotional senior night meet against No. 5 Illinois.
The Sooners began the meet by posting a season-best 72.400 on floor with senior Yul Moldauer, who took home his second all-around crown of the season with a 87.150, leading the way with 15.050. Moldauer would also lead in pommel horse with a 14.250 while senior Peter Daggett and junior Tanner Justus posted season-bests of 13.200 and 13.650 in the event.
The season-bests would not end there, as OU started rings with three-straight career-highs. Justus kicked off the event with a 14.000 and was followed by seniors Cameron Wright and Jake Maloley, who posted 14.100 and 14.550, respectively. The Sooners’ success followed them into vault, as everyone in the lineup scored above 14.100. Moldauer led the team again in this event, as he posted a 15.000.
Another season-best 69.950 on PB and a 71.150 on bars helped secure the 425.700-415.700 win for the Sooners as they conclude their regular-season home schedule. Oklahoma now turns its focus to No. 10 Navy, whom the Sooners will compete against on March 16 for the first time in program history.
