With Kyler Murray entering the 2019 NFL Draft, Kendall was the expected starter for the 2019 season. But if Oklahoma were to bring in a transfer quarterback — Alabama's Jalen Hurts is the first to come to mind — Kendall would likely play the backup role once again.
Kendall has played in six games, going 28-of-39 for 265 yards and three touchdowns.
