The No. 1 Sooners beat the No. 4 UCLA Bruins, 198.050-197.900, on the road in a close meet.
The meet ended with perfect 10s on Balance Beam from Oklahoma's sophomore Maggie Nichols and freshman Anastasia Webb.
The Sooners came out of the second rotation trailing by .025, but took the lead back with a perfect ten on vault from junior Brenna Dowell. The Sooners were also able to work their lead up when UCLA junior Katelyn Ohashi had back-to-back falls on bars.
The Bruins quickly answered back in the third rotation though with senior Christine Peng-Peng Lee hitting her own perfect ten on balance beam.
Going into the fourth rotation, both teams were tied at 148.275, with the Sooners going to beam and UCLA going to floor. The Sooners are No. 1 so far this season on beam.
Leads changed throughout the final rotation but the Bruins lacked difficulty in some of their choreography for floor, even with Ohashi scoring a perfect ten.
Webb and Nichols scored back-to-back perfect 10s on beam for the Sooners, to secure Oklahoma's win.
The Sooners will return home next Sunday to face North Carolina.
