Oklahoma football: Orlando Brown wins Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year

Oklahoma offensive tackle Orlando Brown has been named the Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year by the conference's head coaches, the Big 12 announced Wednesday.

Brown, a 6'8," 340 pound sophomore from Duluth, Georgia, has started all 25 games the past two seasons. This year, the Sooners had two running backs garner at least 900 yards, and quarterback Baker Mayfield was sacked just 18 times.

The rest of the conference's awards will also be announced on Wednesday. 

Brown's mentor, former Sooner Jamal Brown, tweeted yesterday that Orlando Brown would return to school for the 2017 season instead of entering the NFL Draft.

Brown and the Sooners play again Jan. 2 against No. 14 Auburn in the Sugar Bowl.
