Hans Butzer has been named the interim dean of the OU College of Architecture.

OU President David Boren appointed Hans Butzer as interim dean of the OU College of Architecture Monday.

Butzer will fill the former position of Charles Graham following his death Feb. 12.

Butzer is currently serving as the director of the OU Division of Architecture and was recently awarded the Thomas Jefferson Award for Public Architecture.

“Professor Butzer is a gifted teacher and one of the most respected architects in the nation,” Boren said in a press release. “He will continue to strengthen academic programs and initiatives implemented by Dean Graham.”

Butzer will serve as interim dean until his appointment is approved by the OU Board of Regents.
