OU President James Gallogly announced the names of four individuals he planned to nominate to fill executive positions at the Board of Regents' December meeting.
Since Gallogly removed several executive-level appointees on his first day in office on July 2, and removed at least two more since then, the Board of Regents has empowered multiple search committees to begin searching for replacements. Gallogly announced the nominees in an OU Info article emailed to members of the OU community.
One nominee is a candidate from within the university while the other three are external candidates. The four individuals Gallogly appointed are as follows:
Ken Rowe, OU's current interim chief financial officer will be nominated for permanent CFO.
Charles Wright, former director of audit services at Texas Children's Hospital, will be nominated as OU's chief audit executive.
John Woods, current executive director for the Oklahoma Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust and former CEO of the Norman Chamber of Commerce, will be nominated as OU's executive director of governmental affairs.
Lauren Brookey, current vice president of external affairs and the president of the TCC Foundation at Tulsa Community College, will be nominated as OU's vice president for marketing and communications.
"Over the past few months we have been working diligently to fill vacancies in executive leadership positions," Gallogly said in the email. "We are following a process approved by the Board of Regents as we search for the best possible candidates for these positions."
All of these individual appointments remain contingent on approval by OU's Board of Regents.
