Oklahoma junior wide receiver Deion Burks is expected to miss Oklahoma's game against No. 18 Mississippi on Saturday, per On3's Pete Nakos.

Burks suffered an injury against Tennessee on Sept. 21 and hasn't played since. It was classified as a "soft tissue" injury by head coach Brent Venables.

Despite missing the Sooners' last three games, Burks is still Oklahoma's leading receiver with 26 receptions for 201 yards and three touchdowns. He's also taken five carries for 32 yards.

Along with Burks, Jayden Gibson, Andrel Anthony, Jalil Farooq and Nic Anderson are also out against Mississippi. Venables said on his coaches show Monday that Burks is day-to-day, Anthony could still play this season, Anderson has a torn quad that typically takes three months to heal, meaning he's likely out for the remainder of the year, and Farooq is a few weeks away from playing. 

He also indicated that Burks, Anthony, Farooq and Anderson have all expressed interest in returning to OU next season.

The Sooners face Mississippi at 11 a.m. Saturday on ESPN in Oxford.
