Oklahoma analyst Phil Loadholt was hired as Colorado's offensive line coach, Buffzone's Brian Howell reported on Wednesday.

Loadholt, who grew up in Colorado, worked on UCF's staff in 2018 and Mississippi's from 2020-21 alongside former OU offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby. After Lebby was hired by the Sooners prior to the 2022 season, Loadholt followed him and has spent the past two seasons as analyst.

Loadholt was also an offensive lineman for the Sooners in 2007 and 2008, protecting Heisman-winning quarterback Sam Bradford and helping OU to a BCS Championship berth in 2008. Loadholt's time with the Sooners led to him being selected with the 54th pick in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft.

He spent seven seasons with the Minnesota Vikings before tearing his Achilles prior to the 2015 campaign and announcing his retirement in 2016. Loadholt started every game for the Vikings during former OU running back Adrian Peterson's MVP season in 2012.
