Oklahoma defensive linemen Jacob Lacey and Da'Jon Terry announced their intentions to return to the Sooners in 2024 via X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter.

Lacey, who transferred to OU from Notre Dame following the 2022 season, led Oklahoma defensive linemen in snaps played in 2023. He missed most of summer workouts and fall camp due to blood clots, but managed to return and make a significant impact with 16 tackles and a sack.

Terry, who transferred to the Sooners from Tennessee following the 2022 season, didn't arrive in Norman until the summer. He was one of OU's most productive interior defenders in 2023, playing the third-most snaps of the group and totaling 17 tackles and a sack.

With their returns, Lacey and Terry will be tasked with leading a young group of linemen into the SEC, which will include highly-touted freshmen five-star David Stone and four-stars Nigel Smith II and Jayden Jackson.

Oklahoma loses veteran senior defensive linemen Isaiah Coe and Jordan Kelley. Defensive linemen Kelvin Gilliam Jr. and Reggie Grimes II are in the transfer portal.

The Sooners also gained notable commitments to return from safety Billy Bowman Jr. and linebacker Danny Stutsman.
