Senior defensive end R Mason Thomas and senior running back Jaydn Ott made the second team, and junior long snapper Ben Anderson was named to the third team.
Thomas finished his junior campaign with 23 total tackles, nine sacks and one forced fumble. The six-foot-two senior’s nine sacks were a team high in 2024 and tied for fifth in the SEC.
Ott is one of the Sooners’ newest additions this offseason. In three years at Cal, Ott put up 3,326 total yards and 31 total touchdowns. Ott will join Washington State transfer John Mateer in what’s shaping up to be one of the most explosive backfields in the conference.
Anderson is entering his third year with the Sooners. Last season, he served as the long snapper on both punts and placekicks and was a semifinalist for the Patrick Mannelly Award for the nation’s best long snapper.
The three Sooners selected in 2025 tied the previous year’s selections of Danny Stutsman, Billy Bowman Jr. and Deion Burks.
