...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 108 expected.
For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with heat
index values up to 114 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, northern, northwest, and
southeast Oklahoma.

* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until 8 PM CDT this evening. For the
Extreme Heat Warning, from noon to 8 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high
humidity may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida — Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables opened up about old stories on Monday morning during media availability ahead of the 2015 Orange Bowl.

Venables told the story of being hired by Bill Snyder to be Kansas State's linebackers coach in the early 1990s. His biggest allies in getting the job were Bob and Mike Stoops.
