Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

1. What we learned from the security video showing the altercation between Joe Mixon and Amelia Molitor

The video shows freshman running back Joe Mixon talking to OU student Amelia Molitor in Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe on Campus corner. It shows Molitor shove Mixon after he says something to her male friend (the affidavit says Mixon used a "homophobic slur" toward him), after which Mixon lunges at Molitor, she slaps his face, he punches her face, she falls to the ground and he walks out of the cafe. 2. Why the revenue from campus parking tickets is increasing

As OU's parking lots fill up, OU Parking and Transportation Services are delivering the greatest number of parking citations since fiscal year 2009-2010. And even though more parking tickets were given out that year than this last year, the revenue from campus parking citations has increased by almost 41 percent because of the implementation of an online payment system that led to more people paying their tickets.

But as of Aug. 1, there have been less than half as many health code violations reported at Campus Corner and OU restaurants as last year, with 1,508 reported last year and 743 this year.

Researchers at OU's Health Sciences Center have found links between childhood obesity and factors such as not having siblings, having a personal TV in the child's bedroom and infrequent family meals.
